The Norwood Fire Company would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season.  As we embark on the new year you can see we have updated are web page to make it more effecient for you to view and navigate.  Also all of the members will be able to log in to a members only section so that they can view the EMS schedule, fire schedule along with various types of information and paperwork.  Anyone will now be able to make a donation via paypal from our website.  Sign our guestlog and tell us what you think!!  We appreciate your patience as we go through this transition. The last quarter of the year has been pretty busy for us. We have had our daily dose of EMS and fire calls.  We had one change during our elections for the line officers.  Jim Bradley Sr will be the new Deputy Chief along with Chris Givens, Joe Davis will remain on as Chief, Brian harley as Captain, Mike Bierman as Lieutenant, and we welcome a new comer to the officer ranks, Tyler Macrone as Lieuntenant. We also have changed the rules on how we were going to give out the Firefighter of year award.  In previous years, during Decembers company meeting all members would vote and the winner would be announced during the meeting.  New for this year, we will allow the officers, who will not be elegible for the award, pick the winner and they will not be announced until the annual banquet which will be held in early 2009.  We will also be adding a Junior Firefighter of the year award also. On December 20th the fire company loaded up and took Santa around town and gave out candy canes.  We always enjoy giving back to our community.  December 21st was the annual firehouse Christmas party.  Santa arrived with gifts for all the little future firefighters.  Joe Davis and his wife worked hard on this event, from food to all the gifts.  It was a job very well done.  Everyone thanks you!!
